A Little Bit About Me

After 15 years in the hospitality industry where my organized tendencies  helped me to be successful in both my operations management and recruiting roles- I became a mom and... BOOM everything changed!  Living in a small home in Arlington with a husband, 2 young kids and 2 dogs allowed me to hone my skills in terms of creating space where it didn't exist, but was desperately needed.

My years of inventorying professional restaurant supplies were suddenly traded in for the critical task of tracking toys and all their tiny parts as well as finding solutions for storing them in both a way that made them easy for small hands to acquire as well as aesthetically pleasing. Walk-in and Freezer inventory was now my version of pantry domination. No closet space- no problem!  I found myself seeking out opportunities in my home and other's homes to help bring calm and comfort to the everyday chaos of family life.

Thanks to a priceless mentorship from one of the absolute best-in-the-biz and Certified Professional Organizer, I am now a residential organizer and member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO)

Not even sure where to begin? The first thing we'll do is discuss what you need out of your space and how you can gain the feeling of peace in it. We'll determine just where to begin, discuss any storage product options and I will provide an estimate of timing and costs. I will also need to catch a glimpse of the space (please do not clean it for me, I'm here to help make that process easier) and may ask you to provide follow-up details for planning purposes such as measurements and dimensions

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Lois Baron
(linen closet organization)

"I loved how Jackie organized my linen closet. She measured the space, then brought the containers (at cost--no markup) that transformed my space into a vision of tidy efficiency! Then she sorted and folded and worked magic. She was lovely to work with, too, supporting me through decisions that have stalled my own attempts to organize that space (for years!!) and fun to chat with in general. She was efficient, patient, kind, and did a great job. I'd love to work with her again."

Sarah Vienot
(first floor space organization)

"I cannot recommend Peace of Space organizing highly enough! I had been putting off cleaning out a few spaces in my house for so long just because they felt too big to deal with and I was honestly too embarrassed to even imagine a person seeing my mess. From the second I got in contact with Jackie she made the process so easy and doable. She had so many great "tricks of the trade" too in order to utilize my space to the fullest. If you need an organizer in the DC area, go with Peace of Space Organizing!"

Melanie P.
(entry coat closet organization)

“This is concierge-level organizing. I was delighted when I even got to choose from a list of fonts for my personalized bin labels! Areas of my house that seemed so overwhelming were made manageable and pleasant with Jackie's expert eye.

We worked with Jackie in two phases, and this was not a cookie-cutter style approach to organizing. She considered our family's needs carefully and created a system that works throughout our home. She had ideas and solutions for everything -- I now LOVE using my linen closet, which I never thought I would say.

In phase 1 we focused on the entryway coat closet, laundry room, kids craft area, kids toy/play area and the linen closet. She even had furniture sliders at the ready to move a tall dresser to another room. At first my husband was hesitant to spend money on organizing, but after he saw phase 1 he wanted me to book Jackie to work on our kitchen and pantry.

In phase 2, she transformed our pantry and helped everything in our kitchen have a proper home. I will sometimes just stare at the pantry shelves in awe. It's so easy to quickly grab snacks and cooking ingredients. It's also wonderful when I come home from grocery shopping and know exactly where everything needs to go.

This was an investment that has helped me feel calmer and genuinely more at peace in my home as I go about our family's busy daily life.”
